Only writing a good article is not enough to get traffic to your blog and it will not increase your reputation, audience and many other things. After publishing a article on your blog, do some extra work to increase your blog in all direction. Use this when you write a really outstanding, well researched article. Make sure it's typo free and ready to be shared with the masses.
- Choose a catchy shareable headline (shareable means it fits in a tweet).
- Share your article on social media sites, blogging communities and in forums when appropriate.
- Link to the article in your social media bios instead of linking to your home page.
- Leave "valuable" comments on CommentLuv Enabled posts closely related to the topic.
- Write a few more posts related to the topic (but not spun or re-worded versions of the original).
- Write guest posts on authority blogs and add a link to the article in your author bio.
- Create a YouTube video, SlideShare presentation and audio podcast on the topic.
- Interview bloggers and others who are authorities on the topi.
- Build links to the post with sites like Scoop.it, Paper.li, Tumblr and Blogger.
- Send an email to your subscribers asking them to share the article.
