Tweak Post Title In Blogger For Better SEO

Getting traffic from search engines is not so easy. Many people uses different tricks to get a better rank in search engines like google. So optimizing post title will be good for SEO. I have two little tweaks to optimize your post title, so your blog will get a good traffic from search. But you should know that unique content is always the favorite for google or any search engines. So, Write Unique Articles For Your Blog. Optimizing post title is just a part of SEO.

Let's do our work. I have two tricks to optimize post titles.

1st Show Post Title Before Blog Title

As everybody know, Search engines have a limit to index title in search results. Most of the search engines like google, bing, yahoo etc. index about 60 characters. So what if your blog title comes first then in the search results most of the spaces will be taken by your blog title. So, allowing post title to appear first will be good for SEO.

How to do this.

1. Go to Blogger /  Template /  Edit HTML /  Proceed.

2. First backup your template.

3. Search for ( Press ctrl+f )

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

4. Replace With

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == &quot;item&quot;'>
<title><data:blog.pageName/> | <data:blog.title/></title>
<b:else/>
<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>
</b:if>

5. Done. If your blog is indexed in search engines, changes will occur in the next crawling. 

2nd Change The Heading Of Post Title

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6 are the heading used in showing heading. h1 has the higher and other have value in decreasing order. Search engines give more attraction to those sites which have higher value in main heading (post title in blogger and wordpress). Changing heading will be good SEO practice. 

H3 To H1

1. Go to Blogger /  Template /  Edit HTML /  Proceed and click Expand widget template.

2. Search for

<h3 class='post-title entry-title'> OR <h3 class='post-title entry-title' itemprop='name'>

 3. Change all h3 to h1. Remember it is always closed by </h3>. So, change it also and if h3 any where in the template change it h1. Also if post title is closed by h2 tag then change it to h1. That's all if you will get any error, let me know. I will try to fix.
